Basic Rules of Playing Quordle

The basic rules of Quordle are similar to those of Wordle. When you enter a word, the boxes will change colors to give you clues. A green box means the letter is in the right spot, and a yellow box means the letter is in the word. But in the wrong spot, and a grey box means the letter is not in the word.

Quordle gives extra help with its keyboard. The keyboard shows the correct letters in each word box, with filled grids showing their positions. If only the bottom right grid is filled, the letter appears in that spot in the word box below.

Players have nine tries to guess four words. Each try applies to all four words at once, which makes it harder and sometimes frustrating.

Quordle mixes familiar game rules with more difficulty and variety. It puts a new spin on word puzzles. It appeals to those who want a tougher challenge than Wordle.
